LinkedIn Comment Helper (“the Extension”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your information.

1. Information We Access

The Extension accesses:

* Content from the currently active LinkedIn page when the user triggers comment generation
* User-selected tone, intent, and settings
* User-provided API key

The Extension does not collect browsing history or access other websites.

2. How Information Is Used

The Extension uses LinkedIn post content solely to:

* Generate AI-powered comment suggestions
* Send the post content to the AI provider selected by the user for text generation

No LinkedIn account credentials are accessed.

3. Data Storage

* User settings (API key, selected provider, model preferences) are stored locally using Chrome storage.
* Data is not stored on any server controlled by the developer.

4. Third-Party Services

The Extension communicates with AI providers selected by the user, such as:

* OpenAI
* Google Gemini
* DeepSeek
* Anthropic

Post content is transmitted to the selected provider only for the purpose of generating comment text.

Each provider has its own privacy policy governing data handling.

5. Data Collection

The Extension:

* Does not sell data
* Does not store LinkedIn posts
* Does not track user behavior
* Does not collect personal data for marketing

6. Security

All API communication occurs over HTTPS.
API keys are stored locally in the user’s browser.

7. Changes

We may update this policy if the Extension functionality changes.
